Findings & Impressions
Findings:
Right leg: The right common, internal, and external iliac arteries are patent. There is a long embolus extending from the distal aspect of the right common femoral artery into the proximal superficial femoral artery, causing severe narrowing. However, there is flow around the clot. There is clot in the midportion of the profunda femoris artery without complete occlusion. The right superior femoral artery is otherwise patent. The right popliteal artery is completely occluded at the level of the tibial plateau. This occlusion continues distally, and there is no patency at the trifurcation. More distally, there is flow within the peroneal artery and minimal flow in the posterior tibial artery. There is no flow through the right anterior tibial artery. There is some flow within collateral vessels. There are no abnormalities in the left leg.
Impression:
There are acute emboli to the right leg involving the common femoral artery, superior femoral artery, and profunda femoris artery without complete occlusion. There is acute occlusion of the right popliteal artery with minimal collateral flow to the right lower extremity in the distal peroneal artery.
