Findings:
There is a large peripherally enhancing collection in the midline of the retropharyngeal space measuring 2.6 x 1.7 x 3.2 cm, which lateralizes to the right in the parapharyngeal/peritonsillar region. There are multiple, likely reactive, enlarged bilateral cervical lymph nodes.
There is mild reversal of the cervical lordosis likely secondary to muscle spasm.

Impression:
Retropharyngeal abscess measuring up to 3.2cm in size. It is likely arising from a suppurative right retropharyngeal node or peritonsillar abscess.
