Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There is a homogenously enhancing extra-axial, dural based mass in the left parietal region, which measures 2.7 x 1.4 x 1.9 cm. The mass has internal calcifications and demonstrated an enhancing dural tail, consistent with a meningioma. It causes local mass effect upon the adjacent brain parenchyma and has no surrounding vasogenic edema. There is moderate prominence of the ventricles and sulci. There is also mild white matter disease consistent with small vessel ischemic changes. The lenses are replaced bilaterally. There is minimal mucosal thickening in the anterior ethmoid air cells.
Impression:
There is a 2.7 cm enhancing, partially calcified extra-axial, dural based mass in the left parietal region with local mass effect and characteristics consistent with a meningioma.
