Findings:
The lungs are hyperexpanded. The cardiac silhouette is small secondary to hyperinflation. There is bilateral perihilar peribronchial thickening. No pneumothorax.
Impression:
Lung hyperinflation with peribronchial thickening consistent with acute asthma exacerbation.
Recommendations:
For your training purposes, recommendations are not included in this report.
Acuity
Urgent: non-routine communication within 4 hours
The clinical team should be notified of the findings consistent with an asthma exacerbation.
