75-year-old male with abdominal distension, nausea, and vomiting. There is also an incarcerated hernia on exam.

Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There is significant distension of the small bowel loops with air fluid levels. There is no air in the rectum. There are gallstones and pelvic phleboliths. There are surgical clips in the left abdomen.
Impression:
Findings consistent with a small bowel obstruction.

Urgent: non-routine communication within 4 hours
The ordering clinician should be notified of these findings.
