Findings:
There is a new transverse nondisplaced fracture involving the mid diaphysis of the fourth metatarsal bone. There is surrounding callus formation suggesting this may be a subacute stress fracture. There are no other acute or subacute fractures. The patient has had a cannulated interrupted screw placed extending from the base of the fifth metatarsal into the proximal diaphysis.
Impression:
Nondisplaced stress fracture at the mid diaphysis of the fourth metatarsal.
