Prior Study
CT Head and noncontrast T1-w sequence exams were not availablePost contrast T1-w MR
1. There is enlargement of both of the hippocampi, likely on the basis of an acute post seizure event. Correlate clinically for status epilepticus, since there is concurrent bilateral hippocampal edema.
2. There is no post seizure hyperemia nor tissue enhancement.
3. There is no concurrent foreign tissue lesion.
T2-w MR
There is evidence hyperacute changes in the hippocampi bilaterally. These findings were related to the clinical service on an emergent basis, since bilateral hippocampal changes can be associated with status epilepticus.
