Paraspinous soft tissues

There is a mass, swelling, or abnormal signal change present in the prevertebral or anterolateral paravertebral soft tissues

There is a mass, swelling, or abnormal signal change present in the posterolateral paravertebral or posterior paravertebral soft tissues.

Spine and epidural space

There is a destructive/erosive process, mass, or abnormal signal changes/contrast enhancement present the vertebral body at any level.

There is a destructive/erosive process, mass, or abnormal signal changes/contrast enhancement present the vertebral endplates at any level.

There is a destructive/erosive process, mass, or abnormal signal changes/contrast enhancement present involving the pedicles, or posterior vertebral elements at any level.

There is a destructive/erosive process or abnormal signal changes/contrast enhancement present involving the intervertebral disc at any level.

There is a disc herniation at any level.

There is compression with or without retropulsion into the spinal canal at any level.

There is an epidural disease process present causing compression of the thecal sac and related neural elements.

There is an abnormality within the anterior epidural space.

There is an abnormality within the posterior/lateral epidural space.
