Findings & Impressions
Findings:
Aseptic catheterization was performed using an 8 French catheter. The pre-contrast abdominal X-ray was normal. The bladder showed no filling defects, trabeculations, fistula, or diverticula when filled with contrast. Patient voided spontaneously with normal urethra. However, there was bilateral vesicoureteral reflux observed during voiding, with dilated, mildly tortuous ureters and moderately dilated renal collecting systems. Specifically, there was grade 4 left-sided and grade 3 right-sided vesicoureteric reflux. There was minimal post-void residual contrast. Fluoroscopy time: 1.9 minutes.
Impression:
Grade 4 left-sided and grade 3 right-sided vesicoureteric reflux.
