Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There is diffuse symmetric narrowing of the subglottic airway with a steeple sign. This suggests subglottic edema and croup. There is no evidence of a radiopaque foreign body.
Impression:
Subglottic edema and croup.

Acuity
Urgent: non-routine communication within 4 hours
The ordering clinician should be notified of these findings.
