Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There are rounded subcortical hypodensities throughout the cerebral hemispheres consistent with subcortical tubers. There is a subcortical cyst in the left posterior temporal operculum. There are also calcified subependymal nodules with calcifications in the bilateral cerebellar hemispheres.
There are multifocal areas of skin thickening and numerous dermal lesions in the cheeks bilaterally. The largest of these is in the right cheek, measuring 1.5x2.1 cm, and may represent a sebaceous cyst. There is also abnormal prominent skin thickening in the occipital scalp.
There is mucosal thickening in the paranasal sinuses.
Impression:
Findings consistent with tuberous sclerosis given the numerous subcortical tubers, cystic changes, subependymal nodules, and dermal lesions.
