Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There is end-stage osteoarthritis involving the right hip with complete loss of the joint space superiorly, large osteophytes, and bony sclerosis. There are also subchondral cysts within the weightbearing portions of the right acetabulum and femoral head. There is mild osteoarthritis involving the left hip with joint space narrowing, subchondral sclerosis, and osteophytes.
There are calcifications with the bilateral femoral arteries. There is also marked narrowing of the L4/L5 intervertebral disk space with end-plate sclerosis and osteophytes.
Impression:
End stage osteoarthritis of the right hip.
Mild osteoarthritis of the left hip.
Severe degenerative spondylosis and disc disease at L4/L5 which could be further evaluated with lumbar radiographs.
