Findings:
Moderate to severe left pneumothorax occupying approximately 46% of the left pleural cavity. No rib fractures or other abnormalities. The trachea and mediastinum are at midline.
Impression:
Moderate to severe left pneumothorax without mediastinal shift.
Recommendations:
For your training purposes, recommendations are not included in this report.
Acuity
Urgent: non-routine communication within 4 hours
The clinical team should be notified of the spontaneous pneumothorax.
