Findings & Impressions
Findings:
The patient is intubated with the tip of the endotracheal tube in the midtrachea. There is a nasogastric tube descending below the gastroesophageal junction with its tip terminating in the body of the stomach, which is in the left thoracic cavity. There is significant right tracheal and mediastinal deviation.
Impression:
Left sided diaphragmatic rupture with herniation of the stomach into the left hemithorax.
