Findings & Impressions
Findings:
There are surgical changes of a liver transplant. In the right hepatic lobe, there is a large, hypodense/heterogeneous area measuring approximately 8.7 x 9.6 x 10 cm. It primarily involves segments 4A, 4B, 8, and 7. The hypodense aspects are of fluid density. There is also a focus of air in this region. The gallbladder is surgically absent.
There is splenomegaly, measuring up to 15cm in length.
There are a few prominent retroperitoneal and peritoneal lymph nodes no greater than 1 cm in short axis diameter.
There is atherosclerosis involving the abdominal aorta. There are varices in the upper abdomen consistent with history of prior cirrhosis and portal hypertension.
There is diverticulosis without diverticulitis.
There are surgical changes involving bowel loops in the left upper quadrant.
There is subsegmental atelectasis in the bilateral lung bases.
Impression:
Large liver lesion concerning for a hepatic abscess.
